To keep the ball rolling steady and straight in the "sound for the summer" category I'm pleased to direct your attention to two amazing mixes that are sure to bring a well needed waft of soothing coolness to your "bad air quality" summer days.
The first one comes to us by a Londoner, Duff Disco. This guy exudes the smooth pocket grooves that don't seem to get old even after tracks are creeping up on 6 to 7 minutes. With a distinct passion for the original days of disco, but with bass, a greater compression value and excellent key work i could listen to DD all day. Unfortunately, he's taking the "ol' skool" to a whole new level. His tracks are only available on vinyl. ugh. At least you can download their sweet mix:

New Remixes from Fear of Tigers and Justin Faust

Two incredible remixes today, from vibrant artists: Fear of Tigers and Justin Faust. The perfect sounds to remind you why you love electronic music in the first place. Enjoy.
(the Fear if Tigers track is my fave. Been on repeat for a couple days now)

YES GIANTESS_The Ruins (Fear of Tigers Remix)

Montauk_Holiday (Justin Faust Remix)

Luis Moulinex finds a way to creep into the majority of my mixes. What can I say, their sound is nothing short of disco glory. His mix, "Villains Have Feelings Too", is as close to perfect as I'ver heard in recent days. Many times, a producer-switched to- Dj, has imppecable track selection yet falls short in transition and set dynamic. Sure they're great tunes, but does beat mapping a handful of bangers and shoving them into an indiscriminate mishmash of audio soup constitute a good mix?? Moulinex gives us the remedy to cruddy go-no-where mixes. VHFT, is a journey and an almost retrospect into the archives of house history in parts. With great care to how these tracks work together I highly recommend this one!!
